An armed robber has been lynched close to the Pavillion area of the University of Cross River State, Unicross, following a botched armed robbery operation.
Our correspondent gathered that the incident happened at about 11 pm on Wednesday, when a gang of four robbers who had just concluded an operation at the Atamunu by Eneobong axis in Calabar South, were chased into the institution.
One of the robbers was however caught, while three others managed to escape.
Some students in the institution, who woke up to discover the burnt corpse, described the sight as horrific.
