Cross River poised to revamp service delivery in tourism sector

Commissioner for culture and tourism in Cross River State, Ntufam Ekpenyong Iso has stated that the state is poised to consolidate on its gains as the premier tourism destination in Nigeria.

Inspecting iconic tourism structures such as the historic Calabar Cultural Centre, adjoining units of his ministry and other facilities with a view to revamping them for impactful service delivery, the commissioner said all arms of his ministry are to be made more functional as key drivers of Culture and Tourism.

He said “We are going to using global standards to become the preffered Culture and Tourism destination in Nigeria through enhanced product and service offering.”

The commissioner inspected the Arts and Crafts Village, Children Fun Space and the main bolw of the complex.

He reiterated his commitment to ensure quality services at these places.

He encouraged the management team to key into the ideology of the state Governor, Prof Ben Ayade to make the state stand out in the areas of cultural and tourism appeals.

The management team of the Cultural Centre led by the Senior Special Adviser to the governor, Chief Victor Effiom expressed happiness and readiness to work with the new Commissioner for greater achievements.
