REDDING, California — According to RPD, they began receiving calls around 11 Sunday night of a traffic collision between a vehicle and the guardrail on the Churn Creek overpass
Officials say only one vehicle was involved and the lone driver suffered a partial ejection. Officers said the man was pronounced dead on the scene.
We’re told the road will remain closed at least until 5 Monday morning as investigators navigate the scene.
Officials encourage the public to avoid the area until the scene is cleared.
The name of the person killed is not being released at this time.
