- The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) has sent a new message to Npower C beneficiaries
- Although NASIMS acknowledged that payments are yet to be approved, it promised that once approved, will be initiated without further delay
- NASIMS is the central management platform for the administration and coordination of Social Investment Programmes (SIPs), which includes the famed N-Power scheme
FCT, Abuja – The federal government of Nigeria, through the National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS), on Monday, June 19, said payments of N-Power batch C beneficiaries are yet to be approved.
According to NASIMS, as soon as payment is approved, it will be initiated without delay.
NASIMS’ statement which was posted on its official Facebook page, reads:
“Npower C Beneficiaries,
“Payments are yet to be approved. Once approved payment will be initiated without further delay. Thank you.”
Nasims, the Npower management, has addressed the issue of delayed stipends payment for Npower Batch C beneficiaries, stating that the new payment has not yet received approval. Currently, the approved payments are meant to clear the backlog of unpaid stipends for the beneficiaries from 2022.
Nasims has assured that once the new payment is approved, it will be initiated. This year, Npower Batch C beneficiaries are owed stipends for a period of five months in 2023.
Currently, Npower is in the process of enrolling additional preselected applicants by inviting them to validate their accounts, allowing them to become beneficiaries. The payment for Npower beneficiaries who have successfully validated their accounts through the validation link is gradually being processed, with more beneficiaries confirming receipt of their backlog payments today.
There are rumors circulating in the media suggesting that the Federal Government has temporarily suspended payments to vendors, contractors, consultants, and service providers until further notice. However, salaries and pensions have been exempted from this suspension.
Therefore, payment will resume once a proper auditing process is completed, and Npower beneficiaries will receive their stipends when the portal is reopened.
