First Lady Eyoanwan Otu completes maiden humanity tour

Her Excellency, @Rev. Eyoanwan Otu, has completed her maiden humanity tour around the Calabar metropolis. She visited several orphanages, old people’s homes, and the Calabar Correctional Center, providing succor to those in need.

The tour began with a visit to Who Needs a Limb, where she assured of the administration’s desire to provide support for people living with disabilities. She then proceeded to the Women Development Center, where she decried the level of dilapidation and called for the immediate takeover by the office of the wife of the governor for rehabilitation.

Next, she visited the Medium Security Custodial Centre (MDCC) of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Calabar, where she embarked on a tour of the facility and assured the inmates of her commitment to their welfare. At the Pope John Paul II Samaritan Home, Her Excellency interacted with the aged, the poor, and the needy, and donated food and medical consumables.

At the Infant Jesus Orphanage Home and the Cross River State Orphanage Home, respectively, Her Excellency interacted with the children and donated groceries for their upkeep, educational materials and counselling to the caregivers.

Rev. Otu’s humanity tour is a testament to her commitment to helping those in need. She is a true inspiration to all who know her, and her quest to provide social security for the poor and vulnerable people in the society is commendable.
