In a significant development, Rt. Hon. Orok Duke has been appointed as a Member of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). This appointment comes after his confirmation by the Senate and approval by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Rt. Hon. Orok Duke, a seasoned and accomplished figure in Nigerian politics, is set to play a pivotal role in the NDDC. His appointment aligns with the provisions of Section 2 (2)(a) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (Establishment) Act, 2000. The appointment, which is on a part-time basis, as stipulated in Section 2(3) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (Establishment) Act, 2000, officially took effect on Thursday, October 25, 2023. Rt. Hon. Orok Duke will serve an initial term of four (4) years, during which his expertise and vision will be invaluable in shaping the NDDC’s strategic initiatives.
