The Ikom Executive Council is the highest governmental body that plays important roles in the Local Government Area, headed by the Chairman and is assisted by the Vice Chairman, the Secretary of Council and the Supervisors and together the constitute the Executive committee of the Council. The Supervisors are appointed by the Chairman subject to confirmation by the legislature.
