Omo Bloc Canvasses For Odukpani State House Position As Barr. Edet Bassey Expresses Interest

The people of Omo Bloc in Odukpani Local Government Area recently advance a strong argument as they canvassed for support from the three other blocs in Odukpani to represent Odukpani State Constituency come 2023.

This position which has long been agitated for was further giving life to when the Omo bloc recently had a meeting extraordinaire to harmonize and formalize their agitation in furtherance to this noble course.

According to the communique of the meeting available to this medium, it reads in parts;
Arising from the general meeting of Omo Bloc Unity Forum of PDP, it is hereby resolved as follows;

That, in the spirit of fairness, equity, justice, and good conscience, the office of the representative of Local Government Council in the State House of Assembly, be zoned to Omo Bloc. We, therefore, demand that the leaders, elders, and stakeholders in the PDP, Odukpani Chapter should deem it appropriate, considering vital indices, to zone the state House of Assembly position to Omo Bloc.

That, upon lending their support to the ambition of the Omo Bloc Unity Forum, we the entire people of the bloc do hereby resolve to work assiduously to ensure the success of our great party in every election, come 2023 and beyond.

That Omo Bloc Unity Forum pledges her unalloyed support and effort to ensure victory for our party (PDP) in every election at all times.
The communique was signed by 53 sons and daughters of Omo Bloc to express their strong desire and agitation.

Consequently, Barr. Edet Bassey expressly declared his aspiration for the job as a member of the Cross River State House of Assembly, come 2023.

Barr. Bassey is an all-rounder. He attended the prestigious Hope Waddell Training Institution, and proceed to study Law at the University of Calabar. As a prerequisite to practice, he attended the Nigerian Law School Abuja and was called to the Nigerian Bar
To further demonstrate his patriotism, he participated fully in the one-year compulsory National Assignment of NYSC with the Ministry of Justice Kwara state and has been in Legal Practice for over a decade.

He is currently the Chapter Legal Adviser, PDP Odukpani LGA. He is from Odot Ward in OMO BLOC. Barr. Bassey is a grassrooter, he is dogged and transparent. His simplicity and down-to-earth composure makes him a perfect fit as one who will always listen to his people, to give them the kind of representation that is deserving of them.

He is young and dynamic, a take-charge person, and ready to serve. He is driven by passion and the desire to draw Government’s presence and attention to his people through quality representation.
