In a bid to show solidarity with the federal law maker representing Cross River North Senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, some PDP support groups shutdown Ogoja Town, bringing vehicular movement and economic activities to a standstill.
According to the PDP stakeholders who spoke at the occasion on Saturday which took place at Ishibori T junction, Ogoja LGA of Cross River State, lauded Agom over the numerous capital projects attracted to the Constituency.
Addressing party supporters PDP reps Candidate for Ogoja/Yala federal constituency, Godwin Offiono, stated that the one million man march organised by Jarigbe’s supporters is a giant stride which shows that Senator Jarigbe can be re-elected again to serve his people.
Offiono described the lawmaker as governor -general of Cross River North who has done exceedingly very well and deserve re-election adding that the one million man march in support of the former reps member is an expression of solidarity,love and acceptance of the people.
Also Speaking retired permanent secretary, Dr. Ikani Wogor, who spoke alongside other distinguished personalities of the party,stated that with the turn out, the people have put an imprimatur on the district.
In his words, Wogor said, “The imprimatur he said is for Senator Jarigbe and no other person can take it away.
Other stakeholders who made remarks in solidarity with Jarigbe Agom’s Senatorial ambition include Major Mike Otiwa, Ujie Udah, Idi Yakubu, Martin Achadu, Omang Omang, Rita Agbor Anyim and many others.
Addressing party supporters Senator Agom who is the incubent Senator representing Cross River North at the National Assembly,and Senatorial Candidate for PDP in the 2023 general elections, promised to defeat the state governor any time any day to return to senate.
National Assembly lawmaker assured the constituents of his willingness to attract more capital projects to the Constituency, calling on the people not to vote any other party than the PDP which can bring succour to the Senatorial district.
“I am going to defeat the stage governor in that contest. I will defeat him”, The for reps member for Ogoja/Yala federal constituency promised.
The PDP Senatorial Candidate stated that it was due to the love of his people that made him go to the senate so as to attract projects to the Senatorial district.
He stressed that he has demonstrated empathy for his people by putting himself in their shoes stressing that their support for him is un-paralled.
“I treat my people with empathy, input myself in their shoes and their support for me is actually unparalleled, I owe them a lot.
“I’ve provided most of what the people need and have filled the gaps.
“Return all the PDP candidates and it will be better for all of us”, Senator Jarigbe said.
