Peter Bolton’s pre-season tour diary: United play well despite 3-2 defeat

After a great night’s sleep, it was straight down to the pool area. It’s already nearly 40c and we haven’t even passed 10am yet! Luckily, the 60,000 stadium has a roof & air conditioning.

I’m forward to seeing this brand new stadium, that’s already been chosen for next years SuperBowl.
The tactics were strange for the match… starting will the ‘reserves’ and bringing on some of the key players after the hour mark.

I thought United played quite well despite the result. We scored two good goals thanks to Dalot and Antony, but the three ‘sloppy’ goals given away, meant another pre-season loss.

There were over 50,000 in attendance but the TicketMaster prices are truly shocking.
Then it was time to walk along the strip for the long walk back to hotel (with a couple of stops on the way!).

It’s the first time I’ve been in a pub/bar that has a ‘Moet & Chandon’ Champagne vending machine.

One more day here then I fly Vegas to New York overnight Monday into Tuesday, then New York into Manchester later that afternoon.

Next up: Old Trafford on Saturday, Dublin’s Aviva on Sunday and Chester’s Deva to follow.

Never a dull moment!
