PROTEST AGAINST THE USE OF IKOT ISHIE TOWN HALL AS VENUE FOR THE CONDUCT OF APC CALABAR MUNICIPALITY HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PRIMARY ELECTIONS
Our attention has been drawn to the rumour making rounds that the IKOT ISHIE TOWN HALL has been designated as the venue for the conduct of the Cross River State House of Assembly Election in Calabar Municipality, slated for today Thursday 26th May, 2022.
The said venue is totally not acceptable by the Delegates and Aspirants.
This is because the purported venue is the village Town Hall of one of the Aspirant, Mr. Stanley Nsemo, thus, fairness and neutrality of the conduct of the election is highly threatened.
Furthermore, the venue is not well secured as it is open for all and sundry to access.
Consequently, we humbly call on the Leadership of the APC in Cross River State and the House of Assembly Electoral Committee to immediately change the venue to a neutral ground since there are several public premises within the Local Government Area.
