Asisat Oshoala Named MultiChoice Nigeria’s Brand Ambassador

Renowned striker for the Super Falcons, Asisat Oshoala, has been officially announced as the brand ambassador for MultiChoice Nigeria.

Oshoala has been selected to represent the brand, particularly for its Here For Her SuperSport campaign, which aims to promote and support women’s sports.

The CEO of MultiChoice Nigeria, Mr. John Ugbe, stated that Oshoala was chosen as the brand ambassador due to her immense passion and dedication to the game, which continues to inspire millions of people worldwide.

“I am particularly thrilled about our partnership with Asisat Oshoala, as I am a strong advocate for women, leading a team that consists of an equal split of men and women.

We have chosen Asisat as our brand ambassador as part of our commitment to the Here For Her SuperSport promise, supporting female sports. She has proven to be a resilient and dedicated advocate for the sport, and her skills, athleticism, and grace both on and off the field have inspired millions.

Through this brand partnership, we will continue to share our truly authentic stories, with sports being a significant part of that narrative, especially with the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup from July 20 to August 20, 2023, broadcasted across our SuperSport channels. We are here for the Super Falcons, and we are here for Asisat,” Mr. Ugbe expressed.

In response to her selection for the campaign, Oshoala emphasized that the partnership aims to instill hope in the younger generation.

“I truly hope this will be a long-term partnership because I can already see so much positivity at the beginning. This is not just about me; it’s about the younger generation who will be inspired for the future.

Growing up, I didn’t have many opportunities to watch matches, but now I am a MultiChoice ambassador. It’s incredible to witness the growth of women’s sports. We must recognize the power of the media in promoting talent, and that’s exactly what MultiChoice has brought to us.

I appreciate everyone who made this collaboration possible. With the World Cup approaching, MultiChoice will be broadcasting all the matches, and I urge everyone to support the Super Falcons,” Oshoala shared.

Oshoala stands as one of Africa’s most prominent football stars. Currently, she is making waves with Barcelona’s female team, having recently clinched the 2023 Women’s UEFA Champions League and the Spanish League title.

Throughout her remarkable career, Oshoala has accumulated numerous trophies and personal accolades. She was named African Female Football Player of the Year in 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2019.

Additionally, she received the Golden Ball at the 2014 African Women’s Championship and the Golden Boot at the 2016 Africa Women’s Championship.
