Breaking: NPower Provide Updates on Stipend Payments Today 7th July 2023

In the latest NPower/NASIMS news update, it has been confirmed that the payment process for NPower stipends is still underway.

The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) has assured NPower beneficiaries that the government is actively working to disburse the outstanding stipend payments.

NASIMS has recently announced that the backlog payments for eligible NPower beneficiaries have been approved and initiated. This means that NPower Batch C2 beneficiaries can expect to receive their stipend payments for the months of January, February, March, April, and May.

The government is taking gradual steps to ensure that all beneficiaries receive their due payments.

It is important to note that the approval for the new payment, which covers the backlog of unpaid stipends from 2022, is still pending. NASIMS has assured beneficiaries that once the approval is granted, the payment process will be initiated promptly without any further delays. Beneficiaries are owed five months’ worth of stipend payment in 2023.

Currently, NPower is focused on enrolling more preselected applicants into the program. These applicants have been invited to validate their accounts to confirm their status as beneficiaries.

The payment process for those who have successfully validated their accounts is already underway. Many beneficiaries have reported receiving their backlog payments today, July 6th, 2023.

Amidst these updates, rumors have circulated in the media about the suspension of payments to vendors, contractors, consultants, and service providers by the Federal Government. However, it is essential to clarify that this decision does not impact salaries and pensions.

To further enhance the NPower program, NASIMS has taken proactive steps to engage additional NPower Batch C applicants. Selected applicants have been sent text messages requesting confirmation of their status and validation of their NPower records through the NPower Account Validation Form.

As NPower continues to address the backlog of stipend payments, beneficiaries are encouraged to stay updated through the official NASIMS channels for further announcements and information regarding the payment process.
